Wellington museum tour – an introduction to the museum

‘An introduction to the museum’ has been organised for Monday the 4 July from 11am.

The tour will focus on discovering the history of the museum itself and time will be taken to explore the museum’s largest collection object, the building.  The tour will visit some of the key spaces and objects that the museum houses. During the visit there will be discussion of the museum practices which will extend to consider future directions for Wellington Museum.

The tour will last for approximately 45 minutes, followed by a chance to ask questions over a cup of tea.

Where: Wellington Museum, Jervois Quay.

The tour will be available for up to three low vision or blind participants and will be supported by member of the museum staff, a Blind Foundation volunteer and/or a Blind Foundation staff member.
