Message from Clive Lansink, RNZFB Board Chair:

As part of our commitment to providing the best possible services to our clients, the Board and management are keen to understand how Blind Low Vision NZ is progressing with our services, and as such we are undertaking a strategic review. Synergia Ltd has been engaged to undertake this independent review of client services with a focus on the experience of our clients.

Synergia is a New Zealand research and evaluation organisation with a long history of supporting organisations to deliver great services for New Zealanders. They have extensive experience across the health and disability sector and we are pleased to have them onboard to support this review. The review will be led by Sarah Andrews with support from David Todd and Winner Tian.

The purpose of the review is to understand what is working well across client services and identify potential opportunities for improvement.

The review will not focus on each client service in detail, but be a high-level review with a specific focus on clients’ experience of the services we provide. It will involve a number of activities to collect feedback from current clients, staff, representatives of consumer organisations and people in our community. The review will take approximately three months with the final report due early September 2023. A summary of the main review findings will be available to participants once the main report has been finalised.

If you would like to provide feedback for the review, you can choose one of the following options:

You will be asked for some brief information and may be selected for a follow-up interview. These interviews will be completed between now and the end of May 2023.

We see this review as a great opportunity for us to reflect on the services we provide, to listen to our clients and to make sure we are doing the best we can for them and their whānau.
