International Volunteer Day – 5 December

5 December 2022

A group of fundraising volunteers are gathered around a table to collect for Blind Low Vision NZ

Every year on 5 December, the world celebrates International Volunteer Day (IVD) to promote and highlight the positive impact of volunteering. This day also encourages governments to support and recognise volunteer contributions at the local, national and international levels.

Blind Low Vision NZ couldn’t do what we do without the support of our incredible volunteers around New Zealand. They are integral to us meeting our strategic goals by providing support with technology, sport and leisure, fundraising, advocacy, awareness, guide dogs, library, accessible formats, administrative functions and so much more.

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller

Please join us in thanking all Blind Low Vision NZ volunteers for their contributions.
