Ellice in Wonderland

Client Stories

Ellice is standing at her stove top, pouring brown sugar into a measuring cup above a pot on the stove. She is smiling, wearing glasses and a soft pink t-shirt.

Thriving with adaptive technology, Ellice is able to keep doing what she loves.

Cooking, reading, getting out and about. For Ellice, who lives with macular degeneration, it’s just another day in a full and happy life thanks to generous support like yours.

Ellice is thriving in her beloved kitchen with colour-contrasted spoons and bump ons for her kitchen appliances, and a set of talking scales that she describes as “a massive help.” She’s also found adaptive technology to be most helpful too, allowing her to read, listen to the radio and podcasts and to set up her iPad.

“It’s been absolutely wonderful,” she says, “the team truly are amazing. I’ve been spreading the word about how amazing Blind Low Vision NZ really is!”
