The continuing adventures of Peter and his guide dog Ayla

Plane trips to Hamilton and bus trips back. Walking trails, trying blind cricket… the list goes on for Peter and his guide dog, Ayla.

 “Little things like going away and having confidence to navigate completely new environments and the sense of independence is quite tremendous,” says Peter. “Without Ayla, I just feel sometimes quite helpless to be honest. It’s life-changing. And the generosity of people who donate is just astounding and I’m so appreciative of it. The amount of independence it gives me and confidence to take on new challenges is just right up there.”
