Thanks to kind donations, Tasal can see a promising career ahead – and employers can see him for who he is.
Tasal, a 23-year-old with Retinitis Pigmentosa, recently secured a graduate position with Xero after studying computer science. This opportunity was made possible by the Oppenheim Fund, a scholarship programme recommended to him by Blind Low Vision NZ. Congrats, Tasal!
“When I first heard about it, I thought wow, this seems too good to be true, that it would help get someone like me into university. It’s taken a lot of stress off me,” he says.
Thanks to kindness like yours, people with low vision like Tasal are being empowered to follow their dreams, study their passions, and find their place in the world.
