There are a number of ways that you can give in memory of a loved one, read more below.

Make a Gift in Memory of a Loved One

When you make a donation in memory of someone recently deceased, Blind Low Vision NZ will send a letter of acknowledgement to the bereaved family to let them know that you have made a gift. We will notify the family after approximately 2 – 3 weeks, once all donations in memory of their loved one have been received.

  • Make a single online donation using your credit card
  • Deposit a gift directly into our bank account via internet banking. Please complete this online form to receive a deposit reference and our bank account details via email.

Organise a donation collection at a funeral

Many families request that guests make a gift to Blind Low Vision NZ rather than giving flowers at a funeral. Your funeral director will be able to advise how best to do this.

To return the collection you can:

  • Make a single online donation using your credit card
  • Deposit it directly into our bank account via internet banking. Please complete this online form to receive a deposit reference and our bank account details via email.

Inform funeral guests to donate in lieu of flowers

If you would like friends and mourners to make a donation to Blind Low Vision NZ in lieu of flowers, you may wish to include this request in your loved one’s death notice.

Please consider the following wording: ‘Donations in lieu of flowers to Blind Low Vision NZ, Freepost 70894, Private Bag 99910, Newmarket, Auckland 1149.
