A brighter employment future – thanks to you

26%. That’s the approximate number of severely visually impaired New Zealanders who are employed, compared to 74 percent of Kiwis with no vision impairment.

Thanks to generous donor support, Blind Low Vision NZ’s Employment and Youth Pathways team has developed a Work Ready Programme that helps young clients prepare for employment. The programme supports them to build career plans, develop workplace skills, and access mentoring and professional development opportunities that can open the door to meaningful work.

As demand for these services continues to grow, so too do the costs of delivering them. Your continued support would help ensure this vital programme remains available to the young people who need it most.
