We are calling instead of visiting

Blind Low Vision NZ is working with a professional marketing organisation to phone members of the public to give them the opportunity to become Red Puppy Sponsors.

This team normally would be calling at people’s homes but due to the COVID-19 lockdown we have moved these teams to calling instead. Blind Low Vision NZ has been classed an essential service by the Government, which includes the work of our Guide Dog services.  During these uncertain times, we need your support now more than ever to continue to provide services to those vulnerable in our community. The breeding & training of Guide Dogs is completely funded by donations from generous members of the public

Our calling team

Each week we will share the names of our fundraisers who will be calling around the country.
From Monday to Saturday each week and they will be calling from 9.00am until 8:00 pm

Fundraiser names are:

Cherie Ferguson
Peter Cartwright
Melanie Gehl
Lucy Young
Bill Cox-Morton
Opal Little

Why are we doing this at this time

It takes more than two years to breed and train Blind Low Vision NZ guide dog, and so the regular support of Red Puppy Sponsors is essential to support these amazing wee puppies through their training. This method of fundraising enables us to talk to thousands of New Zealanders about guide dogs and the difference these puppies will one day make for Kiwis who are blind or have low vision.
